have Black twitter to thank for finding out I'd been breaking white people law this whole time by showering properly

I guess if folks leave Twitter with a better understanding of why washing legs and feet are critical, Black Twitter did its job.

Incredibly, it appears that among the "bloatware" that was shut down by Elon over on the other site... was the "microservice" that sends the 2FA codes you need to securely log in. https://twitter.com/zachsilberberg/status/1592228112770924544
I’m addition to Eli Lilly, two of the other top manufacturers of insulin tanked. Why? Because investors know people are talking about how they’re price gouging insulin.
1. Most Black folk in the US experience frequent racism, and have to navigate racist systems daily. It's an important part of our lives.
2. Many white folk are very uncomfortable even hearing about racism.
3. People often talk about the most important things in their lives, with their friends.
4. Most white folk in the US (~75%), have no Black friends. Zero. None.

A reminder that we asked young people to turn out and they did. Latino voters leaned into Democrats. Black men voted overwhelmingly for Stacey. Abortion was top of mind for women. Black women continued to show up strong. The Party should not compromise on the priorities of those voters. They hold the future.
Now we gotta get Warnock through the Georgia special election so we have a buffer against Manchin/Sinema.
I'm writing letters to voters in Georgia through Vote Forward to get out the vote -- and you can, too! Sign up here! https://votefwd.org/campaigns

Now that the dust is settling, here's an #introduction. I'm a filmmaker, actor, and staunch New-Twitter rejecter.
I love the gentler, non-algorithmic nature of this community, and in keeping with that, I don't plan to use this account for self-promo. You can find my projects on other platforms (which I seldom use) or my own site: https://linktr.ee/alxwinter.
The #fediverse is an opportunity to build a community as robust as Twitter without the histrionics and clickbait toxicity. Let's do that!
”Global Witness found more than 600 people at the talks in Egypt are linked to fossil fuels.
That's more than the combined delegations from the 10 most climate-impacted countries.”
"If you want to address malaria, you don't invite the mosquitoes”

Heading out to a brunch with my family and my best friend. I have voluntarily signed up to watch them get drunk and ask why we don't marry each other. Happy Saturday y'all. #blackmastodon #saturday
@DrK Hello and nice to meet you! I work on a deep learning algorithm that quantifies blood, swelling, and CSF in ICH patients' CT scans.
Your experience reminded me of this dataset. It has genetic and imaging data for Alzheimer's patients.

NEW: Reader suppression on Twitter
Shocking. Musk’s Twitter has just blocked people trying to read/share a Byline Times article.
It’s never happened to Byline Times before. Reader suppression, if you will - on an article about voter suppression, ironically.
They even put up a warning when you try to retweet eg the viral post of this article by the Electoral Reform Society (verified for the RIGHT reason, not paid) that Byline Times may be a harmful website!

Broke philanthropist. Escaped them mean Twitter streets.
