@JamesHMcLaren Very funny. I played on a few Prog Rock cover bands, and eventually stopped because the audience reaction to a Black guitarist in that genre was so negative it affected our getting booked.
@JamesHMcLaren I might think so too, if it wasn't consistent with everything else in my life and that of millions of other people just like me.
There is no art or science that is magically exempt from the biases and social policing that aren't the explicit consequence of our state-sponsored system of racialized class, a system that over 65 to 70% of European Americans who embrace whiteness deny exists, even as it is irrefutably promoted and defended by law, custom, and commerce.
