Our enemies have tried TWICE in recent decades to violate our Capitol. First: Flight 93 headed for the Capitol on 9/11, downed in Shanskville PA by patriots. Second: Jan 6, 2021 a violent insurrection to overturn an election- foiled by patriots.
Tonight, Putin's existential foe addressed both Houses of Congress from that Chamber.

Oh, before I run off, let me make an observation. You know how we adults feel somewhat strange/guilty for being excited for things like new vacuum cleaners or toilets, or a mowed lawn? And we feel like we have lost our inner child?
Here’s your reminder that little you spent a lot of time playing House and Shopping and School. It’s ok. We just like human things. You aren’t letting child you down.
The stochastic nature of interconnection in contemporary 'globalised' 'culture' means there is no Good way to do things, only a commitment to continuous striving to do things less badly. As a starting point, rather than basing action on the assumption that you are correct, begin by assuming you are incorrect and reevaluate.
Moments ago at a Congressional Gold Medal ceremony for Jan. 6 police, the reward recipients refused to shake hands with Republican leaders Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy.
I could watch this 1000 times on repeat!

I know ~zero about soccer. I do know American football. And there is one small thing that I detest about both of them:
When a player scores, rather than expressing joy with their teammates (as in ice hockey,) they immediately act as if they've never met anyone else on the team (and in soccer, even run *away* from their teammates, so that the crowd may appreciate the glory of their accomplishment unimpeded!)
If I were a coach, I would quickly extinguish this behavior.
