And I’m floating in a most peculiar way...
If your local weather reporter forecast an evacuation warning for a hurricane that was expected, say, in November, would you pack up your belongings and head for the hills? Would such a prediction even be newsworthy since weather forecasts are only reliable for 5 to 7 days out? Of course you wouldn’t evacuate and of course such a forecast would be so laughable it would never be reported. So why do people go apeshit over political polls and, more importantly, how is that they are newsworthy?
ChatGPT is a subset of AI. The “thorny issue” of ChatGPT has nothing to do with the broader category of AI that applies to revolutionary use cases in climate science, genetics and cybersecurity to name a few. And the copyright issues with ChatGPT will likely be straitened out. I guess all the “AI will be the end of humanity” clickbait panic has run course? Too bad this is behind a paywall. I’m sure it’s informative. 😒
So glad she’s not falling in with the “it’s racism, plain and simple” crowd. The problem is much deeper and, quite frankly, much worse than any racism baked in to this cake.
Here here! At the federal level there are 435 reps and 100 senators. About 500 of them are short term, unremarkable, and more or less there to represent their constituents. 30 of them get the bulk of the media attention because they are party leaders or loud, partisan, and/or controversial. Then there’s the handful of perverts, crooks and frauds whose behavior prejudices the general public to believe everyone is like them. Balance indeed!!
Here’s one. If you use the word “they” in a post about how “they” are going to screw “you”, “us”, “me”, please provide a better idea of “who” “they” actually are. Maybe “they” are a known quantity for those “in the know”, but I like to have a more precise understanding of your “reality” to better understand who “they” are.
Maybe it’s always been like this and I was never aware, but media in general and social media in particular is mostly speculative and paranoid. I wonder what would happen if I used AI to review the universe of social media posts to determine the ratio of “it’s surely the demise of everything we hold dear and true” posts to posts about actual reality. I’m spitballing about 330:1.
I thought Bill was an atheist. I guess that’s not causing enough controversy to get clicks.
What...no pizza? I’m outta here.
It’s strange also how so many analysts disregard the fact that, IMPLIED in the language of the constitution, someone that smells like ketchup and bottom-side is also disqualified from holding public office.
apparently, if your people are a victim of something, it is impossible for you to be a perpetrator of the very thing you were victimized by. I guess it’s not fair to point out the bad behavior of victims. Get it? 🤔
Memory, meet hole.
Substitute“television” and “tube” with “social media” and “internet”.
Great news! The Siberian Terror Cabal briefly succeeded in breaching the northern line of our Freedom Alliance! But rest assured, our boys once again rose to the occasion and stemmed the tide! Unfortunately, the nylon supply route will suffer temporary disruption. Not to worry though ladies! Spring fashion collections will still arrive in time for Easter!
Jiu-jitsu liberal. Couldn't drink well enough to be a writer or a lawyer. Became a stoned philosopher instead. Sometimes pay the bills.
