@icetsvu If you keep it moist for a while it becomes a stinky stump.
@VeroniqueB99 Good thing there's no company name on this or it would be slander
@VeroniqueB99 *looks at home prices outside the us*
🤷 same here
@rebane2001 Huh, i get the same (font is not smaller) result with
font-family: monospace, sans-serif
or even
font-family: monospace, garbage
Thus i can say: "In CSS, when i take out the garbage, my font goes smol"
@nixCraft rm -rf / (as root)
It was entered as a joke, took me a couple of seconds to realize the owner of the pc had actually pressed enter.
@OpenComputeDesign If you want your computer to survive a nuclear war, a chieftec case from the time of CRTs is the right choice... also a good deterrent for thieves without a heavy duty dolly.
@OpenComputeDesign And the tiny annoying fans on all the old graphics cards necessary to plug that many CRTs would send an entire bog's worth of moskitoes flying home in shame.
@OpenComputeDesign I think the weight of my combined screen space translated to 15-19" CRTs would not only threaten the table but also the floor 😅
@OpenComputeDesign I'm giggling because i have used a relatively flimsy articulated arm to put a 27" screen so that it can be above a table or in front of a cabinet.
Not much won? Well my cabinet is not broken, that's something i won from not using CRTs :-D
@OpenComputeDesign Well... if i had the amount of screen space i have with CRTs, my table would surely break. But to each their own, except for those that want to touch screens. They get their own only out of arm's reach from my displays!
@OpenComputeDesign I must say i can do without lugging around CRTs and their flickering. Flat panel displays are great, provided they are only displays and nothing more.
@icedquinn Landline? Or is the pivot to voip a problem here? I heard asterisk is nice, but no idea if providers worldwide have compatible protocols/hardware...
@rootcompute As far as i understand, a lot of work is put into enabling that. Did you install windows, all available office programs (and their "quickstarters") and maybe a couple of bitcoin miners disguised as weather apps?
Lot of potential there. Maybe you could ask an LLM for some additional slowdown options?
@OpenComputeDesign
You say "soulless", i say "marketing", but in a very consumer degrading way. It sounds like just saying the word is supposed to get me to think it was something i wanted, but it withholds what the actual content is...
@light
@rl_dane And you surely will not die alone, then.
@OpenComputeDesign I guess i'd focus on what the actual content is. Is it satirical, informative, entertaining...? Without that clarification, saying "content" is an invitation for me to stare blankly, waiting for the... dun dun duuuun content of the utterance.
"multimedia" always sounds like try-hard overselling it, it's usually just moving pictures and sound, so a video. Can't remember one instance where "multimedia" was used differently irl.

I generally invite questions. If you look for a clue if it is ok to ask hard questions: this is it. As long as it is in good faith and you want to know wtf i was thinking, go ahead please.
