Someone trying to kill Trump doesn’t make him less of an asshole, less of a danger to our republic, or less of corrupt and cruel leader. Project 2025 still exists. Trump’s deals with guys like Mike Flynn still exist. Trump still wants to put people in camps, take away your rights, and kill everyone in Gaza. He still wants Russia to take Ukraine. He still wants to pave wetlands and sell off public lands. He still wants to round up his enemies.

If I lived in the US, this would be the ironic text on the back of my car:

“Biden misspoke. Let’s elect the hateful, fascist criminal and go full blown Handmaid’s Tale instead!”

NPR had a discussion of the Roberts court last night, and what amazed me was the lengths the reporters were going to to pretend that anything about his decisions is based on some actual concern for the wellbeing of the country. This guy oversaw Citizens United. He was there for Dobbs. He’s here time and again batting for team christofascism. Let’s stop pretending he’s just a misguided good guy.

@GottaLaff The “media” has a lot to be blamed for. I watched CBS News post Biden’s statement on the SCOTUS ruling. They spent a minute on what he said, and then went on to question Biden’s age / ability and repeating over and over that he was using a teleprompter. Completely ignoring the fact that the Supreme Court just overturned democracy. Its journalism malpractice and supporting fascism.

All of you pointing out that Biden can now violate the law with impunity need to stop. This is the problem: Biden and the democrats won't. Trump and the republicans will.

It's not "utterly baffling" if you consider that 2/3 of SCOTUS are nothing more than corrupt, GOP partisan hacks. A couple of them should have recused themselves and didn't, and others should never have been confirmed as SCOTUS justices in the first place. #SCOTUS

One of the best things #Biden has done is to appoint people to lead agencies like the EPA, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and National Labor Relations Board who actually want to protect what they're supposed to protect: the environment, consumers, workers, etc. It's not coincidence that #SCOTUS just decapitated their ability to do their jobs. #ExpandTheCourt

After more closely reading NYT coverage over the past week, a simpler conclusion: The Times has lost its mind.
