I was feeling almost disappointed with my walk; the sun was vanishing fast and I felt I wasn’t going to find any magic. But suddenly I came to the stream out of Sagdammen that was now filled with golden sun. But there was something even more magical! Can you spot it?!!

The writers at Merriam-Webster really do put out pure gold sometimes:

He declared that 64 sick prisoners were unlikely to recover quickly.

They were murdered with intracardiac phenol injections on the same day.

18 December 1929 | A Hungarian Jewish boy, Bernard Warszaur (Warszauer), was born in Olaszliszka. He emigrated to France.

On 24 August 1942 he was deported to #Auschwitz with his sister Berthe. They were murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.

These all belong to my sister and brother-in-law (as does the house). How they manage to do anything with 4 dogs, 2 chickens and ??? fish, I have no idea.

17 December 1943 | A transport of 800 Jews deported from the ghetto in Będzin arrived at #Auschwitz.

After the arrival selection made by SS doctors 92 men and 169 women were registered in the camp. The remaining 539 people were murdered in gas chambers.
