I just learned from an ACM TechNews summary that Fred Brooks (of Brooks’s Law fame) passed away on November 17, 2022. His “The Mythical Man Month” essays about the lessons he learned from his experiences developing IBM’s System/360, among other projects, continue to be thought-provoking and remains relevant to this day. Rest in peace.
