@hansw I don't know if you heard about . It is said to be easier/simpler to configure than openvpn, but since you have already set it up, maybe it is if no interest to you.

@Demosthenes pickle chips? That is up to the level of peeled bananas.

@hansw thanks for writing your findings. Good luck!

@hansw What features did you miss? I have used it only as a media player, but I suspect the real power lies in the plugins.

@hansw The most interesting thing to know about the *elec distributions is wether they have a package manager or not, that is, how easy is it to install additional software —for example, for your VPN requirements.

@hansw I didn't knew bout openelec/libreelec until now. It seems that the first is discontinued since 3 years ago, according to the wikipedia.

On the other side, I can't find if libreelec is debian-based, so it is an unknown for me how easy would be to set up the VPN afterwards.

Being in the debian archives, I'd go with it, but of course that would be my personal bias.

WOW!!!!!
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR:)

A search engine for #peertube

"PeerTube Index is a centralized search engine for PeerTube videos. We run a crawler that visits PeerTube instances to find videos and new instances. All found videos are made searchable by their name. We exclude videos marked as Not Safe For Work (NSFW) for now.

This site is not affiliated to Framasoft, the maintainer of the PeerTube software. "

Yep, indeed you can remove `rpi-eeprom-images` as `apt autoremove` suggests in a . It only contains a few documentation files currently, if you inspect it with `dpkg -L rpi-eeprom-images`:

@hansw @caranmegil Also due to a change in perspective: spending so much time inside home makes you think about several fixes that you can do, even if you are not restricted anymore. I haven't done as many things as you, but surely I have fixed, painted and cleaned some walls and gave some love to an old bike.

@jmizzle207 @ramob Some other boxes to tick are wether you can manage the metadata and if it requires the files to be in a certain place or where desired. If I remember correctly, digikam was good at that.

@hast0011@mstdn.social @baschi29 @freemo I think of it not as my protective spacesuit, but my diaper instead. Trying not to worsen the situation.

Interesting and sad that the #CoronaWarnApp suffers the same problems from getting killed by Google/Apple's OSes while running in background that Delta Chat and other apps suffer from, see dontkillmyapp.com/

#keyoxide 0.4 has just launched! Small update but a huge increase in benefit for :xmpp: users 🎉

You can now add #omemo fingerprints to your #xmpp identity proofs and if the proof is verified, you'll get a QR code which automagically trusts your OMEMO keys upon scanning with the #conversations app!

@freemo @baschi29 Europe is big. Here it is compulsory outdoors and in public indoors.

The risk if the mask is not covid. In fact they do not protect you from it, but others. The risk is to have a disease caused by bacteria or similar, but the lifetime if the disposable masks is expected to be no longer than 4 hours.
