A simple doormat could save the life of a beloved pet or wild animal who has fallen into an unsupervised pool
@lucifargundam A cat could do it. Probably also a raccoon, maybe a possum. I don't know if it would help a dog, but I imagine it's better than nothing.

This would work if they can figure out how to cling to the mat. Not sure how all animals/pet would fare. Most infant humans would not out of panic.
