Did you know that social hymenoptera are pretty important for the yeast biodiversity too?
They host Saccharomyces and other yeasts in their intestine, and act as basic overwintering site, protecting the yeast genetic biodiversity and therefore our fermented food

Smart people, do you know the answer to this?

The hair are basically dead cells. How comes when you have a better diet they look better then? And not just from the base but the whole hair length?

Today I was talking to some people, you know, some homeopath-tarots kind of folk.
One of them said that hair are alive like branches, I said well actually it's just dead cells, and I've been asked this

Just applied for a #job today, after about a year of studying only.

Seems like most of my hobbies are pretty solitary. Play #music , #gardening , #singing, catching a cold...
I should look for something that does put me in connection with other human beings, so I don't have to choose between seeing people and doing stuff I love.

But you can't just pick a #hobby now, can you? It's more like something you really desire to do and you give in, not like choosing from a catalogue of "possibly interesting activities".

While looking around for a paper in conservation biology, I stumbled upon this study about the coral associated marine fungi. I was very interested, may it be that #fungi can ride the popularity of #coral in some #research line?

Could that even mean... I'll find a job one day?

Keypoints for the layman:
we didn't know many of the species (as it is often the case for fungi, especially marine ones)

Many overlap with the ones found in sponges

Only a few, like 11 species (or OTUs) are likely to be really associate in a symbiosis

What do they do there? No fucking clue.
