It’s fascinating to hear the insightful responses of some Republicans to their failure to attract young voters and single women voters: raise the voting age and pressure young women to get married.

This is one of the whitest, most absurd statements I've seen on the fedi.

And this is the dude that builds Mastodon.

This is pure denial. And we cannot expect adequate solutions from someone who refuses to see life outside of their own bubble.

Banging my head about information. Not so much channels and sender/receiver, although this is where we now must start, but how it instanciates itself as an object.

Yet due to materialism, the mid tier ppl don't understand this, and focus squarely on the material aspect the knowledge has garnered. It's not so much the "worship" of having knowledge, but the product that it has produced.

A little higher up, more intellectual types focus more on the underlying mechanisms, such as the literal science, mathematics.

Yet it's only the higher tier that understand why they hold these things in high esteem.

Current thing - woke - consumerism are practically the same low tier.

Obsessed with material items. Look at pop culture. It's practically idolatry.

Parallel to evangelical zealots trying to save you. Knowing something other don't. Cult mentality.

The fact that the two often conflict (consume vs yet save the planet) doesn't matter, since its low brow. The lack of religious/moral beliefs leaves an empty chalise that's easily filled with supplements

Only volunteering to further privacy and freedom can be effective today because its not something #financiers like because much of their grift is predicated on invading ppls live and feeding it back to trap them in particular thoughts.

One final post to round out the week, and then I'm logging off for the weekend! Really trying to be more intentional about my time here than the other site.

I love spending time outdoors, including hiking, backpacking, camping, and of course (where legal) flying my drone.

It's currently peak hiking season in Arkansas where I live, and while the fall colors have faded, they were spectacular. This is a drone photo from this time last year.
