The docs for changing #servers are not great, but it's pretty easy. Here are the steps:

2. While you wait for it, under preferences/export, export your list of people you follow to a csv file
3. In the new account, dad your avatar, description, etc
4. In the new account, go to Preferences/Account/"Move *from* a different server" and follow the steps
4. In the old account, go to Preferences/Account/"Move *to* a different server" and follow the steps.

The fash made a MASSIVE mistake this year, and it cost them an election rigged for them to dominate.

This is my first introduction toot since joining. Hello everyone! I am Karl Heidtbrink a Software Engineer who has been in the field since I graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Software Engineering back in 2012. Have used C# before to create some modding utilities, but nothing major. Also #write for fun or with the modding hobby, nothing really published to show. That is what I chose for joining here.

#Mastodon is new to me for a social media platform in comparison to Twitter and some of the others out there currently. Seems like it is the popular platform to flock to, and looking forward to learning more about it, and learning about the community.

It's always kind of disturbing to be part of something for years and then be discovered by the mainstream who assumes the thing had only just begun at that moment of discovery and rewrites history to be around a single piece of software, service or personality instead of the whole team effort that took years to develop across multiple different systems, protocols, and communities.

It's a good lesson in asking questions and not just immediately accepting what you are told as the simple reality of things.
