Music: 'MMXVI', by Connor Creegan
'MMXVI' is a compilation of various material I wrote and recorded throughout 2016. It contains no stylistic focus or underlying concept, and is basically just a poorly-mixed series of tracks I compiled in an afternoon.
Written and recorded in several bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens and automobiles around Cleveland, Ohio.
Two LG cell phones (models unknown),
Audition acoustic guitar (model unknown),
Cheap Chinese-made Stratocaster (model and make unknown),
Cheap Chinese-made five-piece drumkit I bought from a guy who trainhopped from Ohio to California for $50 (unknown model, unknown make),
Marshall MG30CFX amplifier,
M-Audio 88-ES MIDI keyboard,
Yamaha YPG-625 digital piano.
Cover art is an edit I created of the infamous photograph of the assassin Mevlüt Mert Altıntaş and his victim Andrei Karlov. Original photograph was taken by Burhan Ozbilici (Associated Press). You can read more about Altıntaş here: bit.ly/2YOwNj2. I chose to create an edit of this photograph and use it as the cover art for no other reason other than that the original image really stuck with me a lot during the end of 2016 while some of this material was being recorded.
I don't recommend streaming as a practice, so please download this album (it's free) if you intend to listen to it.
