Back in October, during my annual autumn weekend, I walked the same area twice the same day - once in the early morning darkness as the sun was rising and once again a few hours later, after the day had got its light back. The second time around, I noticed that there were so much more life to the place - like these two mushrooms hugging. ☺️

My last #Iditarod post for this year. Jason Mackey, brother of four-time Iditarod champion Lance Mackey who passed away last year after many years of battling cancer, won the Red Lantern for being the last person to cross the finish line in Nome. Jason carried the ashes of his mom and brother and scattered them along the trail.

Today's animal from Glasgow's architecture is another one from the Glaagow University Memorial Chapel. It's this very cute, and sleepy-looking, owl nestled in the foliage on a column capital.

Amiga was a good name for a computer. It makes two important things clear:

1. computer is girl

2. computer is friend

New #caricature commission: siren of silent movies, and the early days of the talkies, Clara Bow. Colour pencils on toned paper. I've included the preliminary drawing too, in case anyone's interested.

I'm usually hesitant to share too much about my son, Ripley, or his situation but our situation (US, WV/OH) changed last week. Ripley is about 18 months old and we've known since he was born that he would need a #KidneyTransplant once he was big enough. Until last week, our plan was for him to get one of mine. Unfortunately, I was disqualified, so we're on the hunt for a kidney! If you or someone you know would have any interest in being screened, you can visit ripley.love (1/2)

For today's #FollowFriday I heartily recommend @falcaolucas who create just the most amazing digital #art and #animation 😍

Unsure of Mastodon etiquette for plugging jobs on Mastodon...
but my company has a couple of neat projects coming up, and is hiring a contract web developer. Mostly React and Headless Wordpress stuff, along with some fun map and visualization aspects. Message me if you're interested or know someone.
