Decided to try my hand at Stable Diffusion and I think I may have found a new hobby. If I can stay disciplined, learn and refine the tool, well, next year's holiday cards are going to be amazing. And if not, next year's holiday cards are going to be baffling and deeply unsettling. I'm perfectly comfortable with either outcome.

When i was a kid, I thought draculas bit their victim and used their fangs like straws to suck the blood. I pictured it a lot like drinking a Capri Sun, except the draculas teeth were the straws. I still kinda believe this.

@horseface I've gotten a lot of good and sometimes conflicting viewpoints on this query over the years. I've also chosen "artist" and "musician" at different points and still wound up in the same place. Mostly this is just something I get to thinking about every now and again when the topic of gatekeeping pops up. :-)

The US is fucked on guns cause half the country thinks the alternative to gun violence is tyranny.

I sat on the fence as long for as long as my ethics would allow me to, but bringing Trump back to Twitter was it for me. I used Twitter as a consumption/aggregation type service for news and analysis and Mastodon is distinctly not that. However, it does remind me a bit of the BBS systems I loved growing up so that’s been a pleasant realization. Gonna be tough not being a wallflower though. I fully intend to post through it. I’m sorry, everyone.

I kinda just want to sit around, drink beer and write code tonight. Might just fall asleep. Got a world of possibility ahead of me.

Based on my uselessly small sampling, turn out in my neighborhood looks pretty good today. That’s encouraging. Can’t wait to be disappointed. My fellow Americans, please vote today. Bonus points for not voting for sociopaths!
