@customdesigned how?
The planets to scale in every way... plus dwarf planets Ceres and Pluto, the only two mapped dwarf planets.
The material from which all planets grew was orbiting the Sun. When growing planets attract this material, they get larger but also faster, as they also take on the material's momentum. That's why large planets like Jupiter are generally faster!
@rosnovsky Winter is coming.
@joelmartinez centralized orgs definitely has better wasted/doubled ratio for such services.
However, I don't like this kind of centralization.
I agree that "rebalancing/resharding" algo should work better.
As for now I don't have a certain suggestion, but I believe that we'll get kind of "dynamic" registration for that.
As BGP protocol for ISP if you know this stuff.
@travismitchell as well as schools.
People drive in, spend some time, got serviced and drive away.
@joelmartinez I doubt the protocol.
Let's do a mental experiment. Let's say that we have thousands of servers and people started to follow each other actively.
It ends up that your local server which you planned to be small and neat just for 10 users now has to be a big Kraken who can carry the load.
And instead of one monolithic twitter we've got a need to maintain a thousand half-twitters.
In case if the users don't follow each other, then that's some not-connected islands.
@joelmartinez Sorry If I got this wrong.
I just don't believe in mastodon in sense of "robust"
Helly fosstodon from the #rstats package rtoot. Just trying out if I can post with an image and alt text :)
@mhentges thank you. Enjoy ing it already.
@joelmartinez what if the admin of your mastodon server switches off the server for forever. Since he can.
What is your plan B on this?
I am asking because almost every crypto that you are laughing on doesn't allow this action.
@justincroser@social.linux.pizza @musicmatze for unprepared like me they look just terrible
@brianokken seems natural for some people and almost impossible for others
In many cases it defines success in my humble opinion.
@colingorrie Naïve question but really curious. Why do people need old English?
@ajsadauskas @molly0xfff as a coder i can vary loc for the task with 1000x difference
@engelbart I found the book Zero to Production in Rust (https://www.zero2prod.com/) a great 2nd step once I finished the Rust book. You get to build something - and get help along the way! #rust #zerotoprod
@jmac_ai there is nothing bad with python for AI
