They are freedom of speech, which despite any ugliness that attracts is something I am cool with.
Sadly I've found a LOT of the people from poast, as with most free speech servers, are completely unbearable. Luckily i can just ignore them on a user by user basis.
@freemo so far QOTO is easily the best instance on the fediverse imo.
Good size, isnt blocked by many instances, well moderated
@DavidBond Thanks, thats the balance we are going for, we doint want our users to be scared they will get blocked if they say something unpopular but otherwise polite.. but at the same time we dont want people throwing swastikas around and being assholes for the sake of assholes. I think we struck a better balance in that regard than I would have thought possible.
In fact I rarely need to moderate, as everyone tends to be polite enough from the start just by being around a no-drama environment.
