Thank you very much.
I didn't know. π€οΈ
@freeschool
For a question of link length (my mastodon client Whalebird is very strict on the length of the post which must not exceed 500 characters, and does not take into account the forfeit of characters for the links), I finally retained the server https://yewtu.be/ (which is also an Invidious server) whose number of characters is < to https://invidious.osi.kr/xxx
Thanks again for the tip!
@freeschool
Nevertheless for the moment I keep the links on the site and in the Tellico document at https://www.youtube.com/embed/xxx, because I find the YouTube suggestions very useful as well as the users' comments, and for the moment I don't want to go completely against a service that is useful to me - even if there are ads (necessary to finance it) and trackers.
@Le_bottin_des_jeux_linux
excellent and about finance via tracking, yes it's the ultimate question or ultimatum (general thing to choose) and yeah depending how you see it (which I see, and is fair enough for you) then one just has to say no to the way of doing things when it is possible without, only man-made stuff in between almost stops it allows excuse. So without preach I'm ok with that (what you said) and just supporting free software / freedom is overall the ideal to support (so not even invidious after a while but GNU or 100's of other free-minded group putting a more sane version of things and reducing the finance even / minimising as that is eventual problem too and needs switching, banks etc). Totally accept what you said and happy to say more
(or answer specific question) as I think we all love freedom but have to bend it back that way a bit and not let those other problem roots grow too strong :)
@Le_bottin_des_jeux_linux
Appreciate you saying out loud and hold with you that thought.
On my system it loads everything almost instantly because it's stripped down to the functional basics (rather than added shenanigans).
Really really appreciate you saying
