The fucking state of the laws in England for wild camping are an absolute joke. You can't wild camp... on moorland, without the owners permission. To go with "if you own woodland you can stay for a maximum 28 days each year"

Its an absolute joke, "get out into nature, but not at night time, with a tent, unless you pay someone for the privilege"

@hasmis the first time it happened a long time ago I went to an NHS physio who taught me the chin tuck and the sit on your hand and crank your neck over the other way moves. So I do do them, i found a few more the other day via this page: healthline.com/health/pinched-

Last time it happened I had acupuncture I don't know if it had any effect or I just naturally improved or a bit of both.

I need a backbrace or corset or something to stop me slouching!

I know I'm getting old... trapped nerve in my right shoulder blade area for the past 3 weeks.

Not the first time, but still a pain in the backside.

Boost this toot if you're planning on sticking around Mastodon whether or not it becomes more popular than the birdsite.

@woodpunk doesn't it go with age, back in the day for younger folk but when you get old its "when i were a lad..." 😀

@muz4now @grbenny interesting, yeah its all grades, I did 1-4 as classical grades then did grade 5 as a Jazz grade, but they were certainly called grades.

@muz4now @grbenny I played clarinet for a number of years, in the Scarborough area Junior Concert Band and intermediate jazz band Jazz Train but after Grade 5 you have to start trying a bit harder in the exams so I swapped over to bass guitar 😄

I walked into the bathroom and put these down on the side and glanced down and realised how much they will hopefully change my habits in 2023.

To be fair it's been going on a while, but I did have to go and dig into a bag to find something to take this photo with.

I'm enjoying life twitterless, smartphoneless and spending more time with books and a slower pace of life.

@grbenny Quality stuff. When I was in a Junior Concert Band back in the day here in the UK, we played Birdland and it's still part of my regular music listening.

not all of us are anti quote @simon !

This would enable one of my key purposes of quoting: it would allow me to create navigation paths between my own content, including letting me reply to someone to point them to something I had previously answered

Set myself a 2023 goal of cycling 4000 miles in a year, which is going to be a challenge, but so it should be. In my last year of cycle commuting a long time ago, 4000 miles was the amount I hit just getting to and from work and where I lived then there were hills, now I have no excuse in the flat lands.🚴‍♀️

I need to do something to get off my fat arse and shed some of my 206lbs/93kg and get back to a healthier weight. 😬

Vanilla OS...looks really good. vanillaos.org Clean GNOME, Ubuntu base, immutability, atomic updates, integrated driver manager, Distrobox, support for choice of Snap, Flatpak, AppImage.

@BarrenPlanet@c.im took your suggestion, and simmered off some broccoli stalks, mushrooms, carrots, onions and a few other veggies for about 6 hours, with the marmite, then the following day reduced it down and added a few drops of balsamic, everyone loved it so it was a step up from bisto. Thanks! :)

@trinsec Super tasty, cooking underground kept all the moisture trapped

One cooked leg of lamb. Cooked underground in the earth oven, just like everyone else on Christmas day
