Why wouldn't they all identify as women to get lenient treatment?

I will be going to Austin, Texas. Leaving soon. Always like (love!) being in the Lone Star State. Speaking to our great Farmers. They hit “paydirt” with our incredible new Trade Deals: CHINA, JAPAN, MEXICO, CANADA, SOUTH KOREA, and many others!

Atheism content (long)
@snow
These are good questions.
1st story: Two things to notice from this:
1) Saul's motives for doing this are wrong (to kill David), and you'd be hard pressed to find Christians who defend Saul's actions, especially this one.
2) It must be remembered that the Philestines and Israelites were mortal enemies and IIRC actually at war at the time, so killing Philestines isn't entirely unreasonable.
2nd story: This is an interesting point. David did pay the dowry tho...
Sundays tend to be the slowest day of the week for new signups on #QOTO but today we are seeing twice the usual number of signups. Is there another exodus on the horizon?
fedi projects i had but never finished
- bolognese: an image source bot (haha get it, sauce<->source), if someone posted an image on fedi without a source you would tag bolognese and it would reply with any image sources it found. scrapped because of API costs and also google chrome has reverse image search built in
- convid: you know how most instances limit videos to 8 or 40 megabytes and only accept certain formats? i was gonna make a simple program to automatically resize and convert videos to fit within those limits. scrapped because i got bored and also i've never really seen anyone wanting something like it
- MEEP: a simple GUI for mastodon-ebooks. i have no clue why i called it MEEP but it probably stood for something like Mastodon Ebooks Enhancement Program. scrapped because fedibooks
- mstdn-ebooks-gui: ditto
- tootmixer: you'd give it two fedi profiles and it'll create a markov output based on both of them, like tweet mashup. scrapped because the way fedi works means that it'd require storing a whole lot of data of unaware people and also it'd be really slow
- mastodon-archive-to-html: scrapped because someone else already did it
- fedinteract: an API for interacting with mastodon, pleroma, misskey, etc. all in one. scrapped because that's fuckin HARD
great news for the FLOSS community - piratebot is now open source
Official non-alt-right molotov cocktail of the Fediverse.

I've been around these parts for awhile, using alt social media since April 2018 and joined the Fediverse on July 4, 2019.
Let the 2020s be the decade of positive vibes and supporting each other, bios!!

Matthew 22:37-39 is my mantra:
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
But Phillipians 4:4 is my favorite verse of all time:
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Headspace indicators (inspired by @pizza):
🔵 = I'm in a good headspace
⚪ = Not doing great, but still ok
🔴 = Terrible headspace, feel free to ask me how I'm doing but no accusations or political or societal discussions pls or I'll rant lol
