I am a retired software developer. Wrote my first FORTRAN IV in 1968. I am still writing C++. I have worked in embedded systems. I have done amateur robotics (non-destructive), including competing in NASA Centennial Challenges. The header image is from the Space Robotics Challenge.
Wrote for Hackaday.com for a few years about C++ with a focus on Arduino and Pi.
I am an Amateur Radio Operator, or Ham, licensed as K5RUD by the US FCC. That means I can build a transmitter without the FCC checking my build. Nobody but hams can do this.
Father of 2, although I lost my son in 2014. Grandfather of 3 (2m, 1f) and g-grandfather of 1 male.
I follow C++, legal, political, SF authors, and general random discussions.

Today I watched #SheSaid, based on the book detailing the downfall of Harvey Weinstein. I was held to the edge of my seat throughout the entire movie. This movie is a must-see to bring light to sexual abuse, especially male sexual abuse against women in professional settings.

Understanding #Mastodon gets easier once you get the basic idea that federation between servers can be understood as homeomorphisms across hyperplanes between the Riemannian manifolds of toots, whereas the servers represent countable finite sets of discrete entities.
@KnottedNickers Unfortunately, there are problems here. We're working on it.
We do have a restaurant nearby called Buffalo Run that is owned by an ex-Buffalonian. It serves Beef on Weck and good wings. Often has off the menu items like hot dogs from Buffalo.
I grew up in Buffalo but move to Houston. Seeing the snow up there today makes me glad I moved.

I have both set as hastags I can click on. There is not as much duplication as I expected.
@kefir You can create a List to see what a specific group of people you follow are posting.
On the web interface, select the Lists. Create a new list. Click on a person you follow. On the three-dot menu you should see a selection to add of remove from lists.
When you open that list you'll see there posts.

An instance for mastodon.usa.gov would be a start. Would it include local agencies such as my county EOC?
I was using Eclipse but it was badly out os sync with the handling of C++20.
After looking at a few free IDEs finally purchased CLion after trying it free for a bit. Not sure how it would be for assembly. But I like it for #CPlusPlus #cpp.
