New York is about the same latitude as Rome, so if you match those two it is a fairer comparison. It matches pretty well. Outside of that wind patterns and cloud cover.
Although, I seriously wonder about the days of sunshine listed for Northern California. San Francisco and Monterey Bay areas have LOTS of fog. It does not seem reasonable that they have more sun than, say West Texas. I lived in Monterey area and hardly ever saw any sun ever.

I am and mine was.
I vaguely remember a Douglas Adams story where he said the biggest trouble with time travel was tourists. Setting up the tourist infrastructure made all times alike and got rid of any reason to go there.
I kind of feel that way bout China. I was there in 1989 and it was DIFFERENT and FASCINATING. When I go there now, it is just like everyplace else. (i.e gentrifieD).

Which I can believe that DeSantis sees as skills that will serve people well later in life. "Depriving people of humanity" seems to be what he wants as the future of FLA.
