#AGU22 poster session going on now: Ingenuity in A Warning World. Great posters in spaces 1102-1109, in the hydrology section.
Bonus that I ran into @cznbigdata and met Andy in person!

New pre-print of our global @GEDI_Knights@twitter.com analysis of #ProtectedAreas is now online! We found that PAs store 26% of GEDI-domain #biomass, and have avoided 19.7 Gt avoided emissions - that's one full year of global fossil fuel emissions! #COP15 https://www.researchsquare.com/article/rs-2318743/v1

It's #AGU22 Eve. 10,000+ people are looking at the conference schedule for the week, trying to fit in presentations, posters, keynotes, and exhibitor booths they want to learn more about. It's the eternal AGU question: "how can I possibly go to all the things?"
In this #RoadToAGU22 Bryn Stewart offers some support: you're only one person, you can't go to all the things. Letting that anxiety go means you may find it easier to enjoy the sessions you do attend.
I’m recruiting MSc/PhD students to join my lab at #ClemsonUniversity in Fall ‘23! If you’re interested in #paleotempestology (#prehistoric #hurricanes), the hydro side of #paleoclimate, and/or records of #coastal or #hydrological #hazards, get in touch! We use multiple proxies, primarily #sediment & #treerings, to reconstruct #extreme events in the past. There are plenty of opportunities for #fieldwork & #labwork. If you’re going to #AGU22 & want to chat about this, let me know & we’ll meet up!
My PhD research is developing a low-cost open-source water clarity sensor and obtaining better spatial and temporal representation of catchment suspended particulate matter dynamics.
Check out my online poster at the American Geophysical Union! ⬇️

Excited to speak Monday morning at #AGU22 about findings from our airborne #VOC #Flux measurements over #LosAngeles and how they match (or don't) with inventories. See you in session A12C! #AirQuality @atmochem
Got some dirty big data sets? We're working to find ways to clean them efficiently, reliable, and without bias.
Hear about the successful early phases of these efforts in Tuesday morning's "Automated #MachineLearning Approach to Supervised Anomaly Detection from #CriticalZone #Watershed Sensor-Generated Time Series Data"
And if anyone is interested in the world of caves, stalagmites and climate, here are the links to the whole of the session. Even if you aren't registered, I believe you can read the abstracts:

Adrian Harpold, based at the #UniversityOfNevadaReno and member of the #BigDataCluster Southwest team, is the primary convener for this 90 minute #AGU2022 session packed with information about the #ForestCanopy and #SnowScience.
Spend Monday at #AGU22 in the #CriticalZone, add "Advances in Observation and Modeling of Seasonal Snow and Ecohydrological Processes in Forests and Cold Regions I" to your schedule.
The #AGU22 scheduling tool lets you stack up sessions, so why not spend Saturday night overfilling your calendar. This Wednesday session, Quantifying Spatial and Temporal Variability of Snow and Snow Processes, brings together models, UAV, and #RemoteSensing data.
"Snow Effective Grain Size and Albedo Patterns Mapped From UAV Hyperspectral Imaging to Assess Landsat-9 OLI Pixel Variability: A Case Study" includes collaboration with #Dustˆ2 member McKenzie Skiles.
✨Hey Earth observation enthusiasts - are you headed to #AGU2022 in Chicago next week?
Join us on Thursday, Dec. 15th at 4pm for a local Ladies of Landsat and Geoawesomeness happy hour social!
More details and RSVP link here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ladies-of-landsat-agu-social-tickets-482716456917
Thanks to our organizers Michelle Stuhlmacher, Matilda Anokye, Kate Fickas & Sarah Schenkein, who will be representing @LadiesOfLandsat in person! They'll have stickers and maybe even a LiDAR to scan the social! #EOChat #GISChat 🛰️✨🚀
The next embroidery will be for @LimnologyLauren - a riparian zone, of course! It’s painted and ready for a trip to #AGU22!
RT @YellowstoneNPS: To analyze the current extent of aspen in northern Yellowstone, the @NASA_DEVELOP team refined ecological models in #GoogleEarthEngine using @NASA_Landsat and @CopernicusEU imagery to classify aspen stands. #DEVELOPinthePark

Check out this job from our @CopernicusECMWF@twitter.com colleagues if you are interested in #aerosols #fires, and how to use #satellite observations.
A good opportunity to collaborate also together! 😉
Well, looks I’m driving to Chicago instead 😂
If any of you are interested in what fun I’m up to in Chicago, come to my #agu2022 poster session and learn all about earlywood and latewood white oak tree rings!
