Of course a few british players have made it in to the NFL, and we have NFL games in London every year, with talk that the Jaguars want to move to London.
Nice thing about Football it is also inclusive we have 2 female players and 1 Trans player.
I am part of an American Football team here in the UK, can't wait till the season starts, we are just training at the moment, I don't actually play I help out and do chain crew in the summer.

This morning we share the anger and sadness as yet another mass shooting, in #MontereyPark, CA, rocks our nation. While the investigation is ongoing, our hearts and our solidarity are with those in the #AAPI community who are celebrating the Lunar New Year, who are grieving the loss of friends and neighbors.
Well get people trained in how to deal with gunshot wounds would be a good idea, but I am guessing you are also referring to training people to spot people and shoot back should they start shooting first. Or try and prevent something from happening.

Given the mess the UK passport office has become, getting a passport or driving license is getting very difficult or at least time consuming for people.
Perhaps this is the reason they object to this bill, if a person changes their gender and need a new passport this would put extra pressure on what is already a system that is cracking up at the seems due to mostly incompetence or the lack of will to ORDER staff to get back in the office and sort the mess out ( I am under the impression work from home is a major factor in delays, so happy to be corrected).
Would make sense even if that reason is totally pathetic and probably easy to solve.

Quite striking that the UK Tory government less than five years ago published this paragraph, which sets out an unimpeachable case for gender recognition reform along the lines that the Scottish Parliament just passed, yet today stands apparently implacably opposed to it.

Not sure if it is related, but were drugs such as Cannabis, Cocaine, heroin, LSD and other others all legal in the 1960 but became criminalised in the late 69s early 70's so about the time this was happening with guns.
Are drugs behind a LOT of crime, homelessness, mental heath issues, guns just add to those issues.

Interesting historical note that ties in to Jaden's question about historical racism.
Back as recently as the 1970s, gun control was widely approved on the political left and right. The left approved because guns kill. The right approved because they associated crime with Black people, and regarded civilian guns as tools for crime (as well as hunting and target sports).
There was legislation that banned the least expensive handguns, nicknamed "Saturday night specials". I didn't understand it at the time, but it was meant to deny poor Black people guns.
Facing declining sales after the Vietnam War ended, the gun industry pushed a change of philosophy, however: people should respond to fear of crime by buying guns, not by keeping criminals from buying guns.
The right bought into their pitch, and their crowning success was the _Heller_ abomination.
(And yes, Russia helped the NRA.)

I am hoping to start moving people at code club from Scratch on to game making using Godot any recommendations on language to focus on for them, or should we try and at least learn some Python first to understtand text based coding. ?
Computing is really not my area of expertise, so am going to struggle either way, but i don't want them to take a huge leap forward only to find they fail as they need to understand more of the theory being computer science first.
Smaller steps are used in teaching so everyone has a grounding in an area before moving up.
