Agreed with reforming so people are better prepared, this should not simply be academically but also by ensuring education is relevant absenteeism can be reduced as education is relevent, there are clear expectations as to behaviour, matched in the work place.
Given the issues with the NHS I would make first aid compulsory as a subject, updated every 3 years so in the uk students start secondary at 11 and leave at 18. so they would learn first aid at 11, 14, and 17, as usually the certificate lasts 3 years. this would give them useful skills, same would go for health and safety and handling of chemicals, both would be compulsory part of undertaking science courses, you then get the certificate to go along side the academic qualification.

While this is good advice, maintaining eye contact is harder for people with #autism. So they may not be able to. Employers are required to make reasonable ajustments to help people, so would allowing for Autisic people not to make eye conact be reasonable and what would be some good ways for employers (interview panels) to allow for this.
I am not Autistic, just picked up on the eye contact so I could ask.

While I agree, most people out there will undertake video chat with either zoom or teams, neither of which are good for privacy, so by sayng interviews will be on teams, is on their terms. THis is fine, it is they who are doing the interview.
As I have access to big blue button ( bbb ), I use that if trying to set up meetings where I am the host, it actually works in many cases, once people are given the info, I am aware people have never heard of it, so send them a bbb website link for info and even a link to the test server so they can have a go first, so when theh join my meeting they just click on a link.
It can sort of work with job interviews, explain you use Linux, don't have teams or a microsoft account, but send them a bbb link and offer that as a solution,

LinkedIn went down this path years ago, maybe that was the point, a professional network grooms the very people who create websites, use SEO, run business so everything appears normal.
Given SEO is seen as a key tech that helps people find a business, web designers are really pushing this part of their web design services.
If this happens the main group who will suffer will probably be sole traders and SMEs who need every penny they earn to help make ends meet and keep going.
I could have been there. My friends and family could have been there. We all could have been there.
And, unless we come up with real, actionable solutions to gun violence, we are all at risk, everywhere.
It doesn’t have to be like this. We don’t have to live like this.
Monterey Park was my first home. I’ve spent much of my life in that city. There’s a tangled history of Asian-America in MPK that’s unique and somehow universal. There’s so much to be said for the community there. I am full of sorrow. And I am furious it has come to this.
Well under the US constitution a person can only serve 2 terms as president anyway. ( I am in the UK)
So would not be able to as he would not have run.
Not sure it does look like something David Bowie would use, so maybe mid 70s not sure.

Happy Birthday
That would make a cool album cover.
For my latest piece for CNN, I read the fascinating new book by Dan Levitt, "What's Gotten Into You," and asked him about how cataclysmic forces in the early universe helped forge the building blocks of all life. Destruction, whether in the form of colliding stars or meteor strikes, can sometimes be a uniquely creative process.

Nice, one game we played in 35c during the summer 2022 season.
Answering this in public:
Their endgame is preserving capitalism, for perhaps three more generations, in the face of quite literally, the end of the world.
The planet is boiling; capitalism goes or we do. The capitalists have made their choice, but they are quite aware that seven billion lemmings are not going to vote the preservation of a wealthy ruling class ahead of pure survival.
Ergo, you must not be allowed to choose. Hence, fascism.
Is it nuts? Absolutely. But LOOK AT OUR RICH PPL?
Have we not built a culture that prioritizes growth and the accumulation of capital above all else? Have to not unleashed the free market on all aspects of society? have we not LEGALLY codified the pursuit of short term profit, over long term sustainability at every turn?
So, then; who is the crazy one? The rich people who are following their clearly stated intentions to their logical conclusions in the face of this crisis? Or folks who expected them to choose anything else?
