@AlliFlowers Are you on an iPhone or iPad? If so, did you try Toot!? It's the best in my opinion, but it's only for iOS.
@AlliFlowers @tootapp I did try Metatext first, but preferred Toot! Toot! allows me to access the lists I create and also allows me to add people to lists. Metatext didn't do that; only allowed access to Home, Local, and Federated timelines. Worth the $3.99 in my opinion.
@SandyKendell @tootapp I’ve never been a big user of lists. Only had one on Twitter and I titled it “ultimate evil” and that’s where I shoved people I did not want to follow. LOL
@AlliFlowers @tootapp I've been making lists here based on hashtags rather than people. So I can pop over to my #edtech or #education lists when I want to see toots focused on those subjects. I can pull those lists up in the Toot! app.
@SandyKendell @tootapp I know myself. I would never bother to look at the lists cause I would figure I’d seen them all in my feed.
@AlliFlowers @tootapp What is cool about the hashtag lists though is it pulls in toots from everyone, not just people you follow. I've found toots I wouldn't otherwise have seen and new people to follow because of hashtag lists. 😃
@SandyKendell @AlliFlowers @tootapp Not sure they can do that if not on qoto instance, Sandy. https://mguhlin.substack.com/p/mastodon-tips-creating-joining-guppe
@AlliFlowers @tootapp But if you're not a big list user then you may not need that functionality. I only had a couple I used on the birdsite myself.
@tootapp @SandyKendell Sorry, just realized that Tooot and Toot! Are two different apps.
What do you get for a paid app?
@SandyKendell @tootapp On an iPad primarily. Tooot was the 2nd app I tried. Have you tried Metatext?
