I asked on #Firefish what the toots were called and some random turned up to tell me they're called posts.

I mean, I'm not sure I want to use it if it hasn't got any fancy names for things.

Also you can do #markup language but formatting doesn't show up on #Mastodon ...

So ... um ...

What's the point?

@lydiaconwell The point is that now _you'll_ be able to see when other people use Markdown.

Also, have you tried quote-posts?

What do I hear you saying? That Mastodon people can't see them? Well, I say they either get with the times or become irrelevant already.
