This is bullshit, @Mastodon. I’m rooting for you here. (We all are!). But you really need to fix this to succeed.

People who make the rules and have the power and money usually try to make rules that give them more power and money. This is why more than half of Congress is multi millionaires and keeps electing more. Because the rules are made for them by them. Pass this bill.

For totally legit reasons, I was sifting through Twitter's front-end code earlier today and noticed this new payment handler named "TwitterBluePaymentFailureFix". The bundle itself has code that deals with Twitter Blue payments through Apple and Google App stores.

I'm not saying it's definitely related, but I wouldn't be suprised if that's why the Birdman is ranting about Apple's 30% fee on in-app purchases.

Today, a federal judge issued a punishment against one of the biggest, most egregious union busters: Amazon.

The company was directed to stop retaliating against any employees for workplace organizing activities protected under the National Labor Relations Act.

It’s about time.

Railroad companies and union workers are at an impasse.

The workers want at least 4 paid sick days.

The railroads want to give them none.

Biden says, to avoid a strike, Congress should pass legislation giving the railroad companies exactly what they want.

News flash: If you outlaw abortions, criminalize providing gender affirming care for trans youth, dictate what educators can teach in schools, and stop people from voting, you're not the party of "limited government."

“Pandemic of the unvaccinated” was always a cynical messaging tool used by the White House to drop public health protections & shift the blame onto individuals.

The lack of adequate protections like mask mandates in the winter Omicron surge led to hundreds of thousands of deaths.

FUN FACT: It's little known that USB actually stands for Upside-down Stupid Bastard.

After all the other absurdities it would be pretty consistent if, after all the graft, the lies, the stoking of insurrection, two impeachments and every other jeopardy he’s authored, it was Kanye West who was responsible for derailing Trump’s political future.

For immuncompromised folks - and for freelancers this transition has been quite brutal and preoccupying

and for those of us that are both immuncompromised, freelancing, and depending on on line spaces to work and support and create community it has wiped everyone out at once.

I left 20,000 people at the other place, and they were people who supported my work, attended my workshops, helped me raise funds to subsidize no and low-fee clients, and backed me up when I was very ill.

It has been a painful and frightening loss and I hope that my work model survives this transition.

The nations of the Caribbean, along with all the others in the developing world that are on the front lines of the impact of climate change, need a champion with a voice that can be heard globally. It is amazing to see that happen in the form of Barbadian Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley. Though she represents a small island country with a population of only around 288,000 people, she has become a voice for millions.

@Deoliver47 If you don't yet know Denise Oliver-Velez I envy you the pleasure you have in store of making her acquaintance for the first time. Seventy-five years a Warrior Princess for the ages. Hands down the most clear-eyed, bullshit-free human being I've ever known. A remarkable life story that keeps growing ever more remarkable. By all means follow her!

Love ya, Sis!

I am a pragmatic radical - and as such vote for and support Democrats. I also support independence for Puerto Rico, and do not agree with U.S. colonialism there or in the Caribbean.
