One thing we need throughout government is more transparency.
This isn’t a partisan issue. It’s an issue of power.
Powerful corporations and individuals don’t need transparency because they are paying lobbyists millions to keep them informed.
The public is shut out.

The only reason we have an elected government right now is the Democratic Party. Because if Republicans had gotten their way, Trump would have been installed as dictator on January 7th after all his opponents were killed or on the run after January 6th. And Liz Cheney knows it.

I don't think journalists (in general) -- and certainly not the organizations they work for -- fully understand the threat Musk represents to the future of free expression and journalism itself.
Begging him to reinstate the banned accounts is pure folly. It is bended-knee supplication to a sociopath who now controls a powerful media company. But the power of his company depends in no small degree on keeping journalists there.
Leave. Now.
This is an absolutely outrageous course of action by @NBCNews@twitter.com to take in response to a an unprecedented attack on journalistic freedom

Congress passed the CROWN act that would prohibit employers from discriminating against natural Black hair in jobs.🙂 But of course, GOP Senators are blocking its passage.😑
In 2022 USA, hair as it grows naturally out of a white head can be considered "professional," but out of a Black head is "unprofessional."
The search queries include Black folk trying to figure out "You mean I can't get a job or get into college with unprofessional hair? But I just got a haircut? WTH is professional hair?"
This is theft, not thrift

I heard that Sam Bankman-Fried finally got arrested after making the interview rounds, invited to New York Times events etc. Contrast with the Black people who got life in prison in 3 strikes California where the 3rd strike was stealing a slice of pizza, the immigrants put in concentration camps, or people shot, just because.
Any time I feel like I'm not doing enough somehow, I remember him, Elizabeth Holmes & most of Silicon Valley tech bros who receive billions to burn for no reason.
Whatever Twitter was that made you fall in love with it, thats dead now. It’s not coming back. Like a zombie arising from the shell of a person, what there right now has little resemblance to what was. I won't tell anybody what to spend their precious currency that is time on, but I can think of plenty of things better suited to spend my time on, than to something that just misinforms, trolls & divides us all to the benefit of one.
Broke philanthropist. Escaped them mean Twitter streets.
