Question for those who say prosecuting a former president sets a dangerous precedent: Isn’t it more dangerous to set a precedent that a former president will never face accountability for breaking the law and inciting an insurrection?

One thing we need throughout government is more transparency.

This isn’t a partisan issue. It’s an issue of power.

Powerful corporations and individuals don’t need transparency because they are paying lobbyists millions to keep them informed.

The public is shut out.

The only reason we have an elected government right now is the Democratic Party. Because if Republicans had gotten their way, Trump would have been installed as dictator on January 7th after all his opponents were killed or on the run after January 6th. And Liz Cheney knows it.

I don't think journalists (in general) -- and certainly not the organizations they work for -- fully understand the threat Musk represents to the future of free expression and journalism itself.
