I want to be clear for those who didn't read the story: There is no evidence that Gov. Tate Reeves ever got Brett Favre the money he wanted—only that they discussed it.
And there were no bills filed in 2020 to pay for the USM volleyball facility.

On Feb. 27, 2020, then-Chief of Staff to the Governor Brad White sent Gov. Reeves a text message with a link to @ayewolfe@twitter.com's @MSTODAYnews@twitter.com story which broke the news that TANF funds were used to build the volleyball facility.

I asked for all texts between Favre and Reeves between January 2020 and October 2022.
The ones Gov. Reeves' office produced were for Jan. 27, 2020, and Feb. 5, 2020, and none after that date.

To those insisting trump would have brought Paul Whelan home, explain to me why trump didn't bring Paul Whelan home.

We saw no Reeves-Favre texts after that.

Gov. Tate Reeves responded to Favre's first tweet about the chiropractor, Desmond Hoda.
"I will definitely appoint him based on your recommendation (or really Deanna's - HA)!
A week later, on Feb. 12, Reeves nominated Hoda. He received unanimous approval.https://www.mississippifreepress.org/29628/texts-gov-reeves-talked-to-brett-favre-about-using-state-funds-for-volleyball-facilities
The texts do not show a response from Gov. Tate Reeves regarding Favre's last mention of the volleyball facility, however.
We requested Gov. Reeves' calendars, but his schedule for the day Favre suggested they tour the facility is totally blank.

A majority on the Mississippi Ethics Commission has rejected its staff’s recommendation to affirm that the Mississippi House of Representatives is a “public body” that is subject to the Mississippi Open Meetings Act in a 5-3 vote.

@Mimirocah1 it is insane & I can’t believe we are here. They need to denounce it right now as well as fund domestic terrorism support. Thank you Mimi for moving this sad truth. The only way to stamp this out is swiftly & without equivocation. Not enough leaders are doing it. It is terrifying.
Did you know Monopoly was invented by a woman named Elizabeth Magie in 1903?
Originally ‘The Landlord’s Game,’ it was designed as a protest against the big monopolists of her time like Carnegie & Rockefeller.
But it was Charles Darrow, an unemployed salesman, who eventually sold it to Parker Brothers after playing a version.
Parker Brothers credited Monopoly with saving their company. Magie died in 1948 without recognition. Darrow became very wealthy & his legend lives on. #history #women
