Hey there Kevin Rudd, congrats on your appointment as emissary to the imperial hegemon - can you please make it a priority to torpedo the ridiculous nuke sub deal & dismantle the imperial white supremacist AUKUSDORKUS arrangement? TIA :) #auspol

”Musk, despite his wealth, good fortune and global influence, is not a serious person – but he is toying with dangerous ideas”
a new op-ed in The Guardian by @sivavaid@twitter.com that points to #Longtermism as a key ideology at play here that justifies chaos for us in favor of the unborn humans. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/oct/31/elon-musk-twitter-trump-tesla-longtermism
Some people support free speech
Some people claim to be free speech absolutists, then buy Twitter for $44 billion and start banning journalists
Some people claim to be free speech champions, and then deflect criticism of an authoritarian billionaire silencing journalists

The three biggest liquid natural gas (lng) exporters in Australia made over 30 billion extra windfall profits last fin yr thanks to Russia. More is coming. Yet they are screaming because the Aus gov put a price cap on the 10% we use domestically; a cap desgned primarily to protect business and manufacturing. We've had enough. Chevron once charged its Australian subsidiary 9% interest on finance it procured at 1.2%. All to avoid paying the people for their resources. Similar rorts abound. We export more lng than any country in the world. We get bugger all for it because successive governments have been cowed by the powerful fossil fuels lobby. Multi-nationals play countries and workers against each other. I understand their job is simply to maximise profits. If local farmers and manufacturers go broke next year their share price and golden parachutes are safe.
Government's task is to constrain that amoral pursuit in the interests of society. Sea-change is on. #auspol #politics
@w7voa just leave. Twitter is a rigged game run by a disgusting authoritarian Trump supporter.
Playing a rigged game is foolish.

"He’s talking about transit and cities, but you can see elite projection everywhere — like in social networks."
You can make a QR code for any Mastodon link and it works fine on Twitter. Just thought I'd mention that for no reason. 🤓 #protip
Yesterday, @igd_news was banned from #twitter, as well as numerous individual reporters who were critical of #Musk's nonsense story about being "doxxed." Also, all links to #Mastodon were completely shut down.
Today, serial liar My Pillow guy Mike Lindell is reinstated.

Hundreds of people, many of them young women, have been killed in the crackdown by Iran’s brutal clerical regime on nationwide protests. Iranian-born Australian broadcast technician @mahannoori@twitter.com made this moving tribute to the victims. https://youtu.be/2X7QhBEH6tE #IranRevolution2022
Incompetent even at corruption #auspol
Michaelia Cash's last-minute appointments to the AAT made an unanswerable case for its abolition, thereby putting out of work the dozens of cronies already in place. So, it actually reduced the Liberal party's drain on the public purse. She can't even do corruption properly.
A list of those suspended so far.
