I'm such an idiot. One of the managers where I work is away for the next two weeks, and I decided to recreate my resume and apply to fill the role as practice for applying. My application was successful. Now I'll be doing both jobs for two weeks because they can't do without me in my usual position.

No extra pay, but if I'm successful, it'll be a significant addition to my resume.
