@Lunatech FYI for search I use duckduckgo + a plugin (ddg-filter) that lets me add domains to a blocklist.

Pretty great to keep content farms and other high SEO low quality sites out of my results.

like, the Democratic party clearly has plenty of issues with corruption, but the GOP's mantra for literally FIFTY YEARS has been that unchecked corporate power is good, actually.

Not only do they ever have to own that policy position, I just watched the press gullibly report the GOP was genuinely interested in "antitrust reform" because Google wouldn't let them make fun of black people on the internet.

I've literally lost track of the number of major mainstream news reports on broadband that just don't mention the GOP's blanket, uniform support for consolidated monopoly power.

it's treated as irrelevant or somehow up for debate, ensuring the GOP never has to actually own its own policies.

doesn't matter if we're talking about telecom (the GOP is unabashedly pro-unchecked monopoly) or the railroad industry's accident record.

When the press covers both, the GOP's violent disdain for competent corporate oversight of ANY kind rarely warrants even a fleeting contextual mention in major papers of record.

the GOP you can unabashedly spend fifty straight years advocating for the complete dismantling of corporation oversight, then when things inevitably go wrong the press will just...not mention that as important policy context.
