Atheist; loathe almost all religions and pity the people deluded enough to follow them. I make exceptions for Buddhism as it isn't really a religion in the strictest sense of the word as it doesn't postulate the existence of any god, and Jainism which is the epitome of peace.
For anyone who is interested, my header photo is of the most stupendous sunset I have ever seen. On the right is the waterfront of Vientiane, the capital of Laos, on the left is Thailand and in the middle, acting as the border between the two countries is the mighty Mekong river.

The jelly ear fungus which is edible - allegedly! I won't be trying it without an absolutely positive ID from an expert however.
Is there a mycologist in the house?
These are growing out of one (and only one) of our 5 compost bins. I have never seen anything quite like them before - can anyone identify them?

So, in the last election there were only 6 cases of electoral #fraud (#MattHancock has reluctantly admitted). This from a #voting population of over 45M
You'll be aware of the number of cases of fraud by #Tory MPs (from a population of 355) exceeds this in nominal terms & is vastly larger in proportional terms.
So, let be clear, #voterID is about voter suppression not fraud.
If the #Tories were interested in #democratic fraud they'd put their own house in order.

I think all Americans should just agree to no longer adhere to the laws passed by a corrupt and illegitimate SCOTUS nor any laws passed by republicans based on their religious beliefs. It’s unconstitutional and we don’t have any obligation to follow their rules.

Obviously I expected the GOP would go from banning gender affirming care for children to attempting to do so for adults, but I will absolutely admit the speed they're moving through these steps is breathtaking.
The best I can come to understanding what they're doing, in terms of how unmooored it is from public opinion and what they'd want to do to win elections, is that they aren't anticipating a future where elections are held.
