For anyone who is interested, my header photo is of the most stupendous sunset I have ever seen. On the right is the waterfront of Vientiane, the capital of Laos, on the left is Thailand and in the middle, acting as the border between the two countries is the mighty Mekong river.

Gun violence is now the leading cause of death among children in the United States.
Every developed nation has people with mental illness, video games, disgruntled ex-employees, alienated people, homicidal and suicidal persons, etc. Why does the U.S. have the problem it does?

Well, well, well, the cuntservatives really did get the absolute caning they so soundly deserved in the local elections yesterday. The BBC coverage was at all times as grudging as possible as one council after another toppled either to labour, to the lib-dems or to no overall control.
The tories publicly admitted that they thought it possible that they might lose 1000 seats, however, that was widely reported as ‘expectation management’ rather than what tories really thought. In private most conservatives who were prepared to go on record with an estimate thought that in reality between 600 and 750 was the likely level of tory losses. However, the final tally significantly exceeded four figures!

At that moment a small boy cried out from the crowd " The king hasn't got any clothes on" and he, and his family were immediately arrested by Met Police, and they were sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Oh good! It appears, according to the forecast, that it's going to piss down for most of the coronation day - GOOD!!!
