For anyone who is interested, my header photo is of the most stupendous sunset I have ever seen. On the right is the waterfront of Vientiane, the capital of Laos, on the left is Thailand and in the middle, acting as the border between the two countries is the mighty Mekong river.

Given the extraordinary speed with which it seems to act, I am guessing the caffeine, if caffeine it is that causes the effect, must be absorbed by the mouth or at least by the stomach in very short order indeed! However, I wonder if it is simply a case of "Incoming - everyone needs to shuffle down a bit to make room!"
Is there a gastroenterologist in the house who can offer his/her opinion on the subject?

So apparently, according to most Americans who voted for Trump - the tariff war that Trump has said he would declare against China and some other countries will mean that China (and the other impacted countries) will have to pay the tariffs. The economic illiteracy it really BURNS, it really screams "I'm an economic ignoramous" in MAGALAND. Don't the imbeciles understand that it's not China who will pay the tariffs, it's them!

At the time I got married, 13 years ago, I lived in a flat. I liked it cos it was a short walk from the train station. Good for getting home after late nights out.
My wife moved in. One day she said, "The only problem with this flat is that it's a long walk from the station."
Long?
Turns out it's short if you go thru the woods & by the dark underpass, a route a woman would never think of taking.
And that was my 1st lesson in how we inhabit the same space but live in different worlds.

The "strong 1950s family unit" that GOP is nostalgic about ignores record high female suicide, suffocating DV, & 0 female financial autonomy.
