Also - and I say this because I believe it, not because I care what the hand-wringers on the right think - to hell with the guy who took a shot at him. I'm angry at him, too.
He just made one of the worst people into a martyr/hero for the unhinged right, and now they're going to seek out retribution by targeting the defenseless.
I don't know how we're going to get through this nasty period of rising fascism, but if we do it won't be through violent escalation.
