@sciencebase It ate batteries. Four of those big cylinder ones per recording session (day at school). It had a "condenser mic" built in, whatever one of those is.

@sciencebase Even Buxton isn't really though there are many plants which we see here in Lincs which never show there. Even though it's always raining and feels freezing.

@sciencebase Whenever I see distribution maps, there is a clear effect of latitude but I never see height affecting it much. It does with plants tho. That's rather odd to me.

@sciencebase I think we had a Yellow Line Quaker by outside light just now. Gone before I even tried to take a pic. I gather they are quite common but I never heard of it before I Googled for poss ID.
