With the same 43 million entries loaded (with correct types) into a local PostgreSQL, a SQLite, and a @duckdb, without manually creating any indexes, I run the following simple query, and here is the timing result:

Postgres: 3.5s
SQLite: 6.7s
DuckDB: 0.0067s

Pure magic.

This is quite the paper!

It gave 25 AI agents motivations & memory, and put them in a simulated town.

Not only did they engage in complex behavior (including throwing a Valentine’s Day party) but the actions were rated more human than humans roleplaying. arxiv.org/pdf/2304.03442.pdf

GPT-4 does drug discovery.

Give it a currently available drug and it can:

- Find compounds with similar properties
- Modify them to make sure they're not patented
- Purchase them from a supplier (even including sending an email with a purchase order) twitter.com/i/web/status/16357
