I am super excited to finally share this story about IRF4 published yesterday in @SciImmunology. For me, it all started with an email from @TurveyLab asking what I could tell him about a T95R mutation in IRF4. Many 6AM meetings later, this is the result: http://tinyurl.com/5xfzskst

Well done, @soh__i, Rina, Kana, and everyone. Truly. Still remember the meeting table when @soh__i proposed this idea many years ago. The new precise, multi-kingdom retrospective clone isolation method will pioneer many new experiments in biology. https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2023.01.18.524633v1 https://twitter.com/soh__i/status/1616302820965371905
Interesting sign on top of Meridian Mall. Looks like there's an important story behind it. Perhaps a previous building? #DunedinSabbatical

Building a knowledge graph for biomedical tasks usually takes months or years. 😰 What if you could do it in weeks or days? 🏃 We created BioCypher (https://biocypher.org) to make it easier than ever, but still flexible and transparent. 🧵⬇️
I find this bioRxiv report quite exciting. With very old mice, the injection of AAV to deliver Yamanaka factors doubled the remaining lifespan. I am surprised at the level of success. https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2023.01.04.522507v1 #donotdothisathome
I'm excited that we've put up a new #preprint on a project that I think of as the "thing explainer." The goal of this project was to, for a pair of biomedical entities, provide the simplest hypothesis for how they might be connected (after, of course, correcting for things like node degree, node type degree distribution, etc).
Conceptually this is simple. In reality (the parenthetical), it's pretty hard. Software & conceptual advances to make it possible.
