If mastodon is co-opted by tech giants I would simply move to an even more confusing and esoteric social network

I thought I’d share some of my stuff I’ve made with #midjourney #aiart I mostly use it as a means to express myself. I have #alexithymia so I often am unable to express my emotions. Being able to create images full of emotional tone really helps me process how I’m feeling without having to use words. Even though the machine requires words, it’s different. I see correlations between the patterns the AI works with and the way an #autistic brain works.

Decided to switch over to the genomic.social server, so here's my #introduction again!

I'm a second-year MD/PhD student at Einstein Med interested in #genomics, #bioinformatics, the heart / #cardiology, and #spacemedicine !

@Mr_NutterButter @beardalaxy The thing is, though, is that one needs to be of a right mind to absorb philosophical teachings. One of the problems I have with compulsorily reading is that the compulsed will very rarely think about the material beyond the surface level and will usually be put off from reading the material again at a time where he would have a better understanding of it. How many high school students read Romeo and Juliet and earnestly take it as a warning about young love, for example, instead of the-thing-we-have-to-read-in-class-with-antiquated-English?

@WolfJay they DID move their HQ to California, and I never said they hate Japan. They just tend to censor Japanese games coming out in the west. They also wouldn't allow Martha Is Dead to come out on their platform unless it was censored. Pointing to some examples where they haven't censored stuff doesn't take away the games they have censored despite not being required to by ESRB.

They've got a bit of a track record for it, that's why it comes up immediately when someone talks about Playstation. Their hypocrisy of letting some stuff fly for some studios that they don't for others, and that those studios are usually ones that are trying to promote "social awareness" is something people don't like this side of the fediverse.

Did you know that different eye colors perceive light differently?
https://atlanticeyeinstitute.com/does-eye-color-affect-vision/

Europe and Oceania tend to be more commonly green or blue colored, whereas Asia, Africa, and Latin America tend to be almost exclusively brown colored.
And for whatever weird reason, North Americans are often brown colored too, even including the white people.

This actually explains quite a lot of things, like why sunglasses tend to be much more commonly used in the west and not so much in all other cultures, why LED lights and other lights in general in the west are significantly weaker compared to here in Asia, why there's so much more street light here than there are in Europe, and so on.
Imagine being in your 40s and being mad at a teenager who isn’t your kid…what a fucking faggot
Pleroma admins, got a question for y'all:

I'm pretty tired of seeing reports come only from an instance, instead of a specific user. Is there a way to make it so I can reject reports that aren't from specific users?
