I assembled my new Framework laptop this morning! I was SUPER nervous about assembling a laptop, but they have great video and written instructions on their website, and it booted into bios with no issue! I'm really excited about having a laptop that is designed to be repairable, and I hope it lasts me for a LONG time

Turns out that the slowest part of this process is actually waiting for my rural internet to download the latest version of Ubuntu...

I’m a 18‐year‐old transgirl from Eastern Germany. My parents are right‐wing extremists and have a problem with trans people. I am currently staying with my grandma, but she wants me out by 8 September latest.

I am going to stay with a friend from 9 to 10 September, but I still need a place to crash from 8 to 9 September, and also a more permanent solution for the time after. I am not bound to any particular place, but I would like to stay in Germany for now.

A year ago, I fought the British Museum over their theft of my work and got them to apologize and admit to not having a clearance policy for translations. Today I went to visit the museum and drank tea and brought Qiu Jin along. My shirt says "The Future is Decolonial." 👻😆💜
