@mattodon The term probabilistic circuits was invented to unify a family of probabilistic models represented by a circuit and to make the study of their properties easier. Those models often allow interesting inferences to be computed exactly, like marginals. PPLs serve a different purpose but PCs are a valuable backbone for PPLs. There is some work on the latter but it’s rather immature. I’m interested in enabling Bayesian inference in flexible models (NNs, BNP) through PCs.

BIG NEWS: Pawoo.net, the world's 2nd biggest Mastodon instance, has just been acquired.

The entity acquiring them is the Mask Group, an entity that also runs mstdn.jp and mastodon.cloud. They are also active in the so-called "Web 3.0" space.

If you haven't heard of pawoo.net, it's because many instances have de-federated from it.
