While it's disgusting to see people claiming that the recent events in DC are in any way comparable to the horrific events of 9/11, what's equally disturbing is how many people seem to be cool with the idea of communication backdoors so long as it's against those bad people. It's like they never heard Snowden's whistle, or have selectively forgotten how everyone's civil liberties have been under attack in the name of "security" that never comes

My county forbade putting plastic bags in the recycle bin a while back. If you want to recycle plastic bags, you have to take them to one of any remote drop-off places. That means:

Anyone who cares enough will drive their car to the drop-off places, resulting in more fuel use and emissions that could be avoided if the recycling trucks already making the rounds took care of it.
Anyone without a car isn’t going to bother with recycling plastic bags, so they’ll always end up in the landfill.

This bothered me until I learned about how most plastic at recycling centers is sent to the landfill anyway. #recycle #recycling

We need to implement a social spying system of the elites and report on them 24/7. Set up a database website where anonymous tipsters can send in bits of information they've seen elites out in public behave. Who they are with, eavesdrop on their conversations, etc.
