I found this taped to the door of the geography department at GWU today and it brought me so much joy. A guide to figuring out when a map was made based on features. Zoom in. It’s amazing.

My wife and I went to Barnes and Noble in Brookfield, Wisconsin yesterday to get pictures of "Mastodon for Dummies." The staff person who helped us find the shelf had me sign the book. Afterwards she said she'd add an "Author signed" sticker to the cover. That was fun!

I like this station quite a bit. I think it was designed Stanley Heaps. This entrance, which I assume is the back, is probably one of my favourites on the entire London Underground network. Here's photography of the building reflected in a puddle.

If anybody is wondering if it is morally acceptable to play Scott Adams adventure games following the recent bout of newspapers dropping Dilbert cartoons.

Yes. Yes it is perfectly ok.

The Scott Adams that's famous for writing Adventure and many other classic computer games is not the racist intolerant arsehole that wrote Dilbert. They're two very different people.

Last night's aurora was right up there in the top three I've ever seen. Brilliant green and red with beautiful rays dancing visible to the naked eye. Lots of neighbours came out to the back field to admire the colour :)
