This week for #Fossilfriday we have another #Guess that #Lego #Fossil.

This is massive sauropod towered over its surroundings. That's all the hints you will get.

Reply and boost with your guesses and I will post the answer tomorrow (and to anyone who answers and guesses correctly)

This one was designed by Yobb and you can see more details here -bricklink.com/v3/studio/design

I'm still looking for a job. Anybody need a programmer in the San Francisco Bay area? I'm a python programmer with experience in C/C++/Java/JS, I've done a bunch of CI/CD/SRE in the recent years, lots of tooling and back end web dev, and I've got a good deal of amateur experience doing reverse engineering and embedded development.
(I've done devops work but I'm trying to move away from that because too often it turns into just "ops", and I am a programmer.)

#introduction I joined Mastodon yesterday and am learning how to use it. I live in Massachusetts north of Boston. Some of the family names I research include Salt, Denman, Boothby, Snow, Sweet, Coffin, Hockman, and Minor #surnames My roots are mostly New England but my Salt line came to Virginia first. All of my great grandparent lines migrated to Ohio, so I do a lot of Ohio research.

#TodayInOaklandHistory March 9, 1862, Andrew Anderson was born in the Halland province of Sweden. By the 1880s he had made his way to the Bay Area

Andrew and his wife Emma lived in West #Oakland. He worked as a deckhand on the ferryboat Piedmont

Aerial image of a forming thermokarst lake in western #Alaska. Ice wedges in the ground are melting, the ground is sinking/subsiding and water is ponding in the newly formed depressions. This process will likely continue and accelerate and eventually form a #lake
The image is around 370m wide and taken from about 1000m altitude in one of our flight campaigns in 2021.

I found it, here is the small program I wrote for Run! magazine. They paid me $15 lol, I never cached the check, it was just too cool to hold onto.

It's #ThrowbackThursday and as it was #InternationalWomensDay yesterday, here's a project I worked on with Inspiring Girls a few years back, which focused on gender stereotyping in children's cartoons.

I’ve tried drawing whales a few times with limited success, but I think I’ve finally captured their grandeur, so majestic and regal.

Also, I learned that if you draw alcohol marker over pencil, the pencil won’t erase. This is Copic markers on regular typing paper, and it bled almost completely through to the back. I think I will get smoother results and less bleeding on better quality paper. Still learning. Always learning.
