Researchers used our #privacy inspector, Blacklight, to look into the websites of multiple addiction treatment providers.

We made this tool public for anyone to use—just type in a website to reveal its tracking #technology (or technologies) at themarkup.org/blacklight.

You might have seen somebody using the proverb Vox Populi, Vox Dei. What was missing was the context in which it was used:

To this extent I'm really interested to know how the age breakdown of people on the #Fediverse. On one hand it would seem to make sense to me that most people here remember the "old internet" before the centralization and they're here to rekindle that flame of independence. On the other hand the youths are generally pretty up on this whole technology thing. I grew up on the internet and since then smartphones have become even more ubiquitous.

I read this elsewhere: If trusted news outlets would start offering #Mastodon instances to their staff, that would bring some sort of verification and visibility. Think social.nytimes.com, social.heise.de etc. I'd love to read more from trusted journalists on the #fediverse and this could greatly help. (Again, not my idea but couldn't find the original author.) Boosts for visibility would be great. Reminder: Favorites don't help as on this other platform.
