@dhstokyo I don’t think there is actually a secret candidate. They are just trying to make McCarthy paranoid, and use it as leverage to perhaps gain concessions.

Apple TV+ har sat dato på og frigivet teaser trailer til ny original komedieserie med Jason Seagal og Harrison Ford på rollelisten. Serien har titlen Shrinking.
@mmasnick chocolate pie
@mmasnick there is also chocolate truffle pie, and at least three versions of pecan pie. What about the crust? Should different crusts be considered different pies? I always thought there should be a category for square or rectangular pies so lemon bars would count as a pie. Crust-less pies should also be a thing. A wonderful survey idea #survey
Here are three persimmons. They're gone now, however.

One of the world’s longest-running experiments has been going for 143 years!
In 1879, botanist William Beal wanted to find out how long seeds could remain viable underground. So he buried bottles with different kinds of seeds in a secret spot somewhere on the Michigan State University campus, knowing the experiment might outlive him.
It did! Every 20 yrs, a small group scientists still dig up the bottles and seeds continue to germinate 🌱 https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/21/science/beal-seeds-experiment.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare #science
Last week the global population hit 8 billion people. Yes, that’s a lot BUT there are about 1.4 billion insects for every human on Earth. Combined, they weigh about 70x more than all of us.
And insects have been around for over 350 million years. That's longer than the dinosaurs. Modern humans only showed up between 200-300,000 years ago.
We need insects to survive. They don't need us. This is their world.
There's a LOT of people doing that. You will find it. Do not stop searching.
Check in https://mastodon.art for example.
Just a big Thank You to all those using image descriptions here and a reminder to those who haven't started doing this yet to please do so.
Believe it or not, there are a lot of people who are blind or visually impaired here, and we really appreciate you describing your images.
For me, this is important because I can't recognize faces or facial expressions well, and sometimes I can't tell what's going on in a photo with too much chaos or too much detail. Please feel free to ask quetions about that.

Well, #Photomonday I guess. It’s not that old photo, but now it’s a little snowy already. Also, I should take more photos again. I used to spam photos.
@jscholes I appreciate the number of people who are willing to discuss #accessibility on #Mastodon. On other platforms, I would be ignored, except for other #disabled users. On Mastodon, I feel like people are genuinely interested in #learning and #accommodating others to the best of their ability. I hope we don’t lose that part of #MastodonCulture as more and more people #migrate over.
