"The most important thing about this amazing Paris transformation is how fast it happened — how fast people on bikes “appeared” — once streets were transformed.
You can’t write this off as “Paris was always this way,” because it wasn’t.
It took leadership."

It’s #FollowFriday so I hope folks utilize the hashtag to find my account here!
Give me a boost! Maybe if I can show some of the big accounts on Twitter that it’s possible to grow sizably and quickly here, too, they’ll migrate over!
@brendannyhan Hi Brendan. If you and other commentators support this ☝🏼view enough to RT here, why not do the decent thing and abandon the toxic #Twitter platform completely?
There's many on #Masto than will either refuse to follow you or at least refuse to boost your posts because of your cross-posting. (For the moment I fall into the latter category only, but - with Musk's recent antics, I may join the former sooner than later. )
Just a thought 🤷♂️
The devolution of Twitter into a cesspool of toxic garbage reminds me of this comic I drew a few years ago.

I have #ADHD and struggle with emails. Things have been easier since I created this autoreply. I thought I'd share for those who haven't seen it before!
The #IndyRef2 case this morning is fascinating in many ways.
It is not an appeal - it is a rare example of the UK Supreme Court (SC) acting as a court of first instance - which it can on certain devolution issues.
This means today's judgment, in turn, cannot be appealed.
I am full of admiration for the legally ingenious way in which Scottish government framed this case so as to get it before the SC.
I was also impressed by the advocacy of Scottish government's Lord Advocate Dorothy Bain KC
Until we address the issue of agricultural indiscriminate use of antibiotics in the foodchain and the expectation of cheap meat we cannot hope to tackle antibiotic resistance. 😞 https://www.theguardian.com/global/2022/nov/21/mcdonalds-and-walmart-beef-suppliers-put-public-health-at-risk-with-reckless-antibiotics-use?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
Do you like #maps Even if you don't, the National Library of Scotland https://maps.nls.uk/index.html site is amazing! Try exploring the Georeferenced maps with the 'Spy' function. Best procrastination activity ever!
